Paradise Village Golf Course “El Tigre”
This 7,239 yard 18-hole golf course is a great place for novice golfers, and the ideal place to take clients who is still working on perfecting. Designed by Von Hagge, Baril, and Smelek, it was intended as a course that is both exciting and forgiving. It is also conveniently located only 30 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta.
Flamingos Golf Course
This Puerto Vallarta golf course covers over 72 acres and is renowned for its well-groomed courseway. Because it is lined with orange, mango, and lemon trees, shots are challenging for even professional who visit this course to practice their game. To get here, take a 30-minute cab ride from either Nuevo Vallarta or Puerto Vallarta.
Marina Vallarta Golf Club
This is a challenging championship 18-hole course designed by Joe Finger, world famous American architect. The Marina Vallarta is renowned for its use of natural and aesthetically pleasing obstacles. Play a game or two here and enjoy the challenge presented by native tropical plants, gorgeous palm trees, and natural lagoons that teem with indigenous wildlife. You do not have to take a cab to get here, because this golf course is located within walking distance of the Puerto Vallarta Marina. If you are planning to hit the greens as soon as you get off the plane, the cab fare is less than 5 US dollars.
Mayan Resorts Golf Nuevo Vallarta
Golfers looking for a true challenge can find it only 30 minutes of the road from downtown Puerto Vallarta. Here, try your hand at some of the most difficult shots in the midst of seven lakes, a river, and the ocean itself! Hole number 13 gives a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean from the banks of the Ameca River. Hole number 14 offers a view of the Pacific to the left and a lake on the right and front side of the green.
