Sometimes it rains on an August afternoon in Puerto Vallarta. Sometimes visitors need a break from the sun on a hot day. Sometimes it’s simply a desire for some retail therapy.  Whichever your reason Puerto Vallarta’s Galerias Vallarta can be a perfect destination to spend a few hours on your trip to Puerto Vallarta.

Galerias Vallarta

The modern structure complete with top-name brand department stores is located a short walk from the Marina Vallarta Marine Terminal. It is often a destination for cruise ship passengers who don’t take an excursion in port (or arrive back early from their morning excursion).

Inside the mall visitors can browse well known international merchandise, take in a movie, or snack at the many familiar chain restaurant and cafes. For some, it can provide the comforts of home.

a familiar spot...

the most popular place

On my visit I found the mall very clean and easy to navigate.  The latest fashion and international brands were available at retail prices. I also noticed a few “rebajas” or “sales,” so that always helps when looking for something to purchase because brands aren’t cheap in Mexico.

But if shopping in Puerto Vallarta is on your must do list then this is definitely a stop to consider, especially when the weather is not cooperating.

a bit of surprise for me... but it was crowded
